I've been having blog errors, so that even though I published, nothing would show up on the site. Fine now, but still annoying... it basically means that no one's gotten a chance to slog through a week or so of my ranting.
By the way, Alex&Nick... Powerpuff Girls is not showing at the Regal, severely screwing up my plans. I checked with Fandango- there are only two theaters within a 40 mile radius of Rockville that're showing it, so it seems too much like a pain in the ass to see it on the big screen. Maybe when it's on DVD. Are you people interested in seeing Reign of Fire at the Regal though? It's got the The Two Towers trailer showing in front of it. People say it's bad (Reign of Fire, not the trailer) but it looks interesting in any case.
Or I could just scrap movie plans and people could go to a Gundam Wing watching marathon at my house.. hmm?

Ah, today's my birthday. Yayfor. I don't have a 6th period exam tomorrow so I get to come in late, and even sleeping now, I can get 8 hours of sleep.
Ed finally returned my Ringworld to the library, resulting in my quote of the day.
"We're human! Let's have sex!'" -Ed on the overly amorous space explorers in Ringworld.
nononono, here's another quote of the day from watching PBS kids. "Bye, Lynx Kitten! I'm glad you don't know how to use kitty litter!" Quiet. It's summer, almost, and it's my right to allow my brain to rot by watching educational tv. Educational for four year olds. Man, if I were a host of an educational tv show... well, let's just say that I'd imagine that Bill Nye gets drunk as shit on the weekends and goes "Goddammit no more feckin' kids, heheh!!" as he wanders around in a drug-induced stupor with a chick on each arm and his bowtie undone.
Yay skippy. BTW, The Shining opens itself up to many merchandising opportunities. The Shining Inspirational Soundtrack! (creak! splut! wooodeewoodeewoodeewoooooo AIEEEEE REDRUMREDRUM danny's not here!!!") (Soothing New Age music in your very own home. Eh, at least, I hope that's the sound of water gently flowing...) The Shining Valentine's Day Cards! ("To my better half.. and half.. and half.. and half..") I must wonder though, cleaning the blood off the cameras after filming that elevator scene must be hell.
Why are psychotic (non axe-murderer) guys the most attractive? (Treize.. he's so sane, you KNOW he's mental, AND he's dating a woman with MPD... Sephiroth.. no comment...['Tell me about your mother...' 'I was created in a lab...' 'Zat is a start...' ] ) Actually, I think it's because psychotic guys are usually villains, and villains are attractive.

You know what disturbs me? Guys who are disturbingly good looking. I don't mean just like, blindingly matching-sweater-from-Milan good looking, but like, obscenely good looking. Real guys, as far as I know, are kind of mishapen and lopsided, like potatoes, and forget to shave over the course of several days and have razor nicks and have really hairy legs when you can see them when they're wearing shorts and drink milk out of the carton and tend to scratch places they shouldn't. So stylish guys disturb me, because they seem less than real, like a conglomeration of everyone's ideals of what a guy should look like into one face and body, leaving features that aren't disagreeable to anyone but aren't distinguished either. Sort of like the woman on the phone who goes "The number you have dialed...".. her voice is nice, pleasant sounding, and nobody grates at the sound of her voice, but it's so... blegh. No matter how much manly stubble and scars-running-down-the-cheekbone-s you give Ben Affleck so he can be a mighty action hero or whatever, he still looks like a cardboard prettyboy who I wouldn't trust in the cockpit of an airplane because he'd be too busy looking at his reflection in the dashboard. It's like a robot or an alien, dude! Not a single hair out of place! Especially bishonnen anime guys, who not only are way too stylish for their own good, but literally are a conglomeration of everyone's ideals of what a guy should look like into one face and body. Like Darien from Sailor Moon. What in fucking hell could get a 17 year old boy (who's disproportionally drawn so that he's really leggy) to wear tuxedos and tophats for fun and throw roses at people???? Some people get all dreamy eyed over him, but Jesus, he creeps me out!
Note: Treize Khushrenada does not count. The 17th century clothes are for.. um.. well c'mon, everyone in Gundam Wing wears weird clothes and he's Grand Duke of something so he's excused. Plus, he has forked eyebrows and he watches opera and he fences and he flies giant robots. And his voice actor sounds like he has laryngitis. And he rants about God and humanity and the universe and has strange ideas on honorable warfare. Which makes him automatically cool.

Why am I up so late? It's because I'm out to prove a point. Go here and here. And here. Remind you of a certain bivalve guy on Halloween we know? I'm asking this not to be "I Told You So", (well, I am), but because I don't know the Bivalve Guy's name. It's pretty sad. But this was why I was laughing at him so hard on Halloween, when you guys were all staring at me funny for laughing at him so hard. Because he looks like this seven year old anime girl.
She has a very profound quote which I stumbled upon again when I was looking for her picture to "I Told You So" you guys. Here it is:
"History is an endless waltz, so to speak. The triple measure of war, peace, and revolution goes on and on."
Pretty good for a seven year old galactic dictator. This summer, when I had read the quote for the first time, I had thought it profound, but I didn't think much of it. Now it means a lot more to me. It's a bit sad how I get all my quotes from anime or RPGs. Like.
"Justice is not the only right in this world."
Ayn Rand would disagree. But anyhow. I feel I ought to be quoting some eminent ancient philosopher on my spare time, instead of spouting Final Fantasy quotes, but I relate to these more. Well, whatever floats the boat for my generation.
I have discovered a new type of nerd. Male or female, I suppose. Down With The Man Cynical Angst Nerd. It's pretty self explanatory. ALEX. Balsa wood. On a totally unrelated note, I will be upset if I don't see the Leonids on Sunday and have to wait another 33 years for a decent meteor shower just because my parents are like, "It's too cold! It's too early!" If it's too cold and too early, don't go with me. Yes, Alex, I write long blogs. Blogback is not working for me either, Jen, despite me inserting the code in. I'm drawing a "Persistance of Memory" (The melting clock painting by Dali) parody of the Flaming Fork motif. Nick S makes me sad. Something about circumstances. I'm reading his blog, and he's talking about a totally different clique of people. Blogs tend to draw people together, so it's odd that when you read someone's blog it's like you know them so well, but then in real life it's like, "Hi. Bye. Have a nice life." With blogs, I think sometime's it's people's misfortune to be born in the wrong family or on the wrong side of the world. I don't know if humans are inherently good or evil (good, IMHO), but I know that they're inherently capable of being friends, if only we'd let them.
